I think we tend to see more consumer brands and fast growing companies intentionally focus on brand ambassadors and advocates, however, they’re a key ingredient for any business (or practice) trying to grow. One of my friends from college is a plastic surgeon in Orange County that’s grown with many of the tips you mention. Great work and care is the foundation but building a connection with previous patients and making it easy for them to talk about the great work is the key to continued growth.
