As noted a while back, 78% of people watch online videos every week and 55% watch them every day! In fact, so many people are shooting, watching, and sharing videos that the format accounted for nearly two-thirds (64%) of all consumer Internet traffic last year — a figure that’s expected to rise to 80% by 2019.
Such numbers should serve as a wake-up call to anyone who has been slow to embrace video marketing. Every day, smart doctors are uploading videos to their practice websites, YouTube, and RealSelf and every day, untold numbers of aesthetic consumers watch them to learn more about the cosmetic procedures they’re considering. (In November alone, visitors to RealSelf watched more than 463,000 minutes of video!) And if the trends in the above infographic portend anything at all, it’s that both the volume and the value of video are only going to increase. If you haven’t developed plans to incorporate video into your marketing strategy, now’s the time to start recording.
