According to the latest trend report from RealSelf.com, consumer interest in CoolSculpting, Cellulaze and Mommy Makeovers is on the rise.
Consider the numbers gleaned from analyzing the millions of searches that are conducted on RealSelf each month:
- CoolSculpting: More than 400,000 searches were conducted in the first three months of the year, up 36% from last year, making the procedure the site’s fastest-moving topic in terms of search volume.
- Cellulaze: More than 220,000 people searched for Cellulaze in April, compared to just over 40,000 the month before.
- Mommy Makeovers: Searches for the procedure are up 13% over the past year, with more than 900,000 Mommy Makeover searches performed annually.
We are seeing so many more women coming in for Mommy Makeovers in the last two or three years, says Dr. Grant Stevens of Marina Plastic Surgery Associates. Their confidence soars.
In fact, on a scale of 1-10, women who’d had a Mommy Makeover reported that the procedure boosted their confidence by almost four points (from 4.8 to 8.4), according to RealSelf’s analysis. Self-scored attractiveness increased three points (from 5.1 to 8.2) while sex life satisfaction went up two points (from 6 to 8).
Needless to say, those women are unlikely to keep their good news to themselves, which these days, means sharing their happy results with others via social media. Those conversations — the majority of which are both upbeat and inspiring — offer a great opportunity for doctors to join in and provide insights while positioning themselves well for new business.
